Ioannikios 6 was basilikos spatharios and epi ton deeseon; owner of a seal dateable between the mid eighth century and the mid ninth: Zacos and Veglery 1988. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λ[ω] in the corners. Rev.: +Ιωαν - [ν]ικιω β' - [σπ]αθ' κ' επι - [τ]ων δε - ησ'+. The name and titles read: Ἰωαννικίῳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν δεήσεων.
