Ioannes 529 was bishop of Kyzikos; he was the addressee of a letter from Theodoros 68 describing the ordeals suffered by Theodoros 68 and Theophanes 6 during their persecution under the emperor Theophilos 5: Letter of Theodorus to Ioannes bishop of Kyzikos, in Vita Theod. Grapt. 672B-680A, cf. 669D (Ἰωάννῃ τῷ κατὰ Κύζικον ἐκκλησίας προέδρῳ καὶ τῷ λοιπῷ πλήθει τῶν ὀρθοδόξων). Possibly identical with Anonymus 565.
