Ioannes 291 was asekretis of Nerdis (or perhaps Kerdis?); owner of a seal dateable to the ninth or tenth century: Konstantopoulos, JIAN 6, 303. The name and title read: Ἰωάννου ἀσικρῆτι τῖς Νερδις(?). According to the editor, Konstantopoulos, the reading Κερδις is also possible.
