Ioannes 277 was a droungarios; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century: Konstantopoulos, JIAN 6, 194. The name and title read: Ἰωάννου ... δρουγγαρίου. There was apparently some text between the name and the title droungarios, but no trace of the letters seems to survive.
