Ingiltrudis 1 was the wife of Boso 1; she left her husband and refused to return to him even though excommunicated and anathematised by the bishop of Rome; she was released from the sentence against her by the archbishops Theutgaud 1 of Trier and Gunthar 1 of Cologne, for which they were punished by pope Nicholas I (Nikolaos 28): Lib. Pont. 107. 48. She was presumably a Frank.
