Ignatios 23 is named in a list of bishops, possibly metropolitan bishops of Nikaia, in the Synodikon of Orthodoxy: Gouillard, "Synodikon", p. 108, I, and see Commentary, pp. 268-269. He succeeded bishops called Theophanes (possibly Theophanes 6) and Philippos (Philippos 18).
