Iakobos 6 was a monk in the monastery of All Saints in Constantinople and a disciple of Antonios the Younger (Antonios 12); he was an important source of information about Antonios 12 to the author of his biography, since he learnt much from Antonios 12 himself; he entered the monastery as a boy and remained there many years in close association with Antonios 12: Vita Anton. Iun. (BHG 142 Addit.) 19, see also Vita Anton. Iun. (BHG 142) 9.
