Heraklas 1 was a monk in the monastery of Sakkoudion in the early ninth century under Akakios 3 and was apparently in charge of the vines there; he is mentioned in a sermon of Theodore the Stoudite (Theodoros 15): Theod. Stud., Catech. Magna II 62 (p. 439 Papadopoulos-Kerameus). See PmbZ 2554.
