Georgios 226 was deacon and orphanotrophos; addressee of a letter from the patriarch Photius (Photios 1), of uncertain date; he was not a supporter of Photios 1 and is criticised by him: Photius, Ep. 136 (I 186 Laourdas-Westerink) (addressed Γεωργίῳ διακόνῳ καὶ ὀρφανοτρόφῳ). Possibly identical with Georgios 225.
