Georgios 134 was bishop of Mitylene; he ordained Georgios 135 to the priesthood; in the reign of Michael I (Michael 7; AD 811-813) he travelled to Constantinople; in the reign of the emperor Leo V (Leo 15: AD 813-820) he was banished from Constantinople to an island (presumably as an iconophile); he died on 7 April (the year is unknown); his remains were eventually transferred to Mitylene under patriarch Methodios 1: Acta Davidis, Symeonis et Georgii 10 (p. 220, 14-16, 19-23), 15 (p. 227, 8ff.), cf. Vita Georg. Mityl. (BHG 2163). Cf. also Georgios 248.
