Georgios 36 was bishop of Nikaia in Bithynia; in 692 he attended the Quinisext Council at Constantinople, where he signed the canons: Ohme, Bischofsliste, p. 146, no. 19 (= Mansi XI 989) (Γεώργιος ἀνάξιος ἐπίσκοπος τῆς Νικαέων μητροπόλεως τῆς Βιθυνῶν ἐπαρχίας).
