A monk nicknamed ὁ κλεινός, Euthymios 13 was allegedly one of the earliest and most loyal supporters of Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite), being named with Athanasios 8, Naukratios 1 and Timotheos 3 (NB: other similar lists in the other Lives of Theodoros 15, as well as one of the MSS of the Vita A, give the name as Antonios; see Antonios 35); he was one of the joint founders of the monastery of Sakkoudion (in c. 782/783): Vita A Theod. Stud. 128B. If his name really was Euthymios, he was possibly identical with Euthymios 15 and owed his nickname to his stance during the iconoclast persecution under Leo V (Leo 15).
