Euthalios 2 was a Stoudite monk; he deserted the monastic community early in the ninth century and left the monastery, but subsequently repented and returned; he is mentioned in a sermon of Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite): Theod. Stud., Catech. Magna II 108 (pp. 789, 792 Papadopoulos-Kerameus). Cf. also Elpidios 4.
