Eustratios 8 was a basilikos spatharios and epi tou manglabiou; owner of seals dateable to the iconoclast period (eighth/early ninth century): Schlumberger, Sig., p. 540, nos. 2, 3 and 9 (facsimiles). All three seals have the same invocative monogram of Κύριε βοήθει on the obverse with the legend τῷ σῷ δούλῳ. On the reverse they all have the following legend, with minor variations: +Εὐστρατίῳ β(ασιλικῷ) σπαθαρίῳ (καὶ) ἐπὶ τοῦ μαγλαβίου.
