Euprepios 1 was the son of Ploutinos 8 and younger brother of Theodoros 345; the brothers were wealthy and had titles of rank (ἀξιώμασιν διαφόροις), and are described as virtuous and chaste; they were disciples (μαθηταί) of Anastasios 66; after the first exile of Anastasios 66 (in 647/648), Theodoros 345 and Euprepios 1 were arrested at Abydos while trying to escape to Rome; they were stripped of their rank and their property, beaten and sent into exile at Cherson; Euprepios 1 died after nine years in exile, on 26 October of indiction 14 (26 October 655): Theod. Spoud., Hypomnesticum (Gk), 3, pp. 70-72, Hypomnesticum (Lat), III, 196 (20 October). He was buried at the Church of the Hagia Theotokos outside Cherson, where pope Martin (Martinos 6, who died a month earlier) had already been buried: Theod.
