Eirene 12 was sister of the emperor Constantine V (Konstantinos 7) and of Kosmo 1; all three were buried in the Mausoleum of Justinian at the Church of the Holy Apostles at Constantinople: Const. Porph., De Cer. II 42 (Reiske, 645). See Rochow, Konstantin V, p. 213.
