Drosos 1 was a kandidatos and chartoularios of Thrace; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth and ninth century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 122, no. 3 with facsimile. Obv.: invocative monogram of Κύριε or Θεοτόκε βοήθει with the legend τω - σω - δου - λω. Rev.: Δρόσῳ - κανδ(ιδάτῳ) (καὶ) χαρ - [τ]ουλαρ(ίῳ) τῖς - Θρᾴκις. Cf. Winkelmann, Rangstruktur, p. 123.
