Domnika 1 was the wife of Bardanios Tourkos (Bardanes 3); she bore him sons (Anonymi 6) and a daughter (Anonyma 16); after his retreat into a monastery, Domnika 1 remained in their own home but he had her tonsured (as a nun) and gave her the name Athanasia: Theoph.
