Demetrios 12 was diakonos and deutereuon of the akolouthoi; owner of a seal of uncertain date (Schlumberger dated it once to the twelfth century, once to the eighth or ninth): Schlumberger, Sig., p. 357, no.2 (twelfth) = p. 390, no. 12 (eighth or ninth) (Facsimile). Obv.: invocative monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with the legend τῷ σῷ δούλῳ. Rev.: +Διμη - τρηῳ δι - ακωνῳ - (καὶ) δ(ευτερεύοντι) (τῶν) ακ(ολουθων). The style of the obverse suggests the earlier date as perhaps the more likely.
