According to a marginal note in one of the manuscripts of the letters of the patriarch Photius (Photios 1), Chrysocheir 1 received a copy of a letter which Photios 1 also sent to Christophoros 48; the letter was on theological matters: Photius, Ep. 187 (II 77ff. Laourdas-Westerinnk) (MS Δ, Cod. Paris. Coisl. gr. 270) (ἡ αὐτὴ ἐγράφη καὶ πρὸς Ξρυσόξ). Probably identical with Ioannes 448 Chrysocheir.
