Bardas 18 was a chartoularios; owner of a seal dateable to the first half of the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 1426. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει. Rev.: Βαρδα - χαρτου - λαριω. The name and title read: Βάρδᾳ χαρτουλαρίῳ.
