Bardanes 9 was a basilikos strator; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 1751. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: Βαρδ - ανη β' - στρατ - ορι. The name and titles read: Βαρδάνῃ βασιλικῷ στράτορι.
