Auxentios 2 was probably a monk; Auxentios 2 was a companion of Kosmas 56 (bishop of Chalcedon) and like Kosmas 56 lost his life during the iconoclast persecution under Leo V (Leo 15), probably in 815/816; commemorated on 18 April: Synax. Eccl. Const. 613, 13ff., Menol. Bas. 409D.
