Archippos 1 was a stoudite monk; he is mentioned in letter from Theodore the Stoudite (Theodoros 15) written in spring 816 from exile in Boneta to Naukratios 1; Theodoros 15 mentions Archippos and his fellow-monks monks (οἱ περὶ τὸν Ἄρχιππον ἀδελφοί: p. 262, lines 14-15) who were still at Boneta with Theodoros; Theodoros had not sent a letter by them, fearing that the length of the journey would make a reply impossible: Theod. Stud., Ep. 146, pp. 261-263.
