Anonymus 736 was the bishop of Amorion; with three of the nobles (one of them was Bodin, i.e. Boiditzes 1) he appealed to the caliph al-Mu`tasim 1 to allow the city to be evacuated; the request was refused: Bar Hebr., p. 137.
