Anonymus 728 was the son of the emperor Michael II (Michael 10) and his second wife (Euphrosyne 1), and grandson of the emperor Constantine VI (Konstantinos 8); his mother's plans allegedly to rear him free of Jewish influences led to his premature death: Bar Hebr., p. 129. Cf. Anonymus 733.
