Anonymus 671 was a mutual friend of the patriarch Photius (Photios 1) and Georgios 225, whose death is lamented in a letter written by Photios 1, then in exile, to Georgios 225: Photius, Ep. 105 (I 144ff. Laourdas-Westerink).
