Anonymus 670 was appointed archbishop of Thessalonike when Ioseph 3 was exiled in 809, and presumably remained in office until the recall of Ioseph 3 in 811; Anonymus 670 was not recognised by Euthymios 16, whom he therefore had arrested and flogged: Theod. Stud., Epp. 48, 51.
