Anonymus 541 was a basilikos spatharokandidatos and strategos of the Boukellarioi; owner of a seal dateable to the second half of the ninth century; his name is uncertain, but included the letters Βα...νος (?Baianos): Zacos and Veglery 3229. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - .ου - λω in the corners. Rev.: +Βα... - .νω β' ς.αθ' κ - ανδιδ' και στρα - .ιγω των Βου - ..... . The betas are in the shape of a Latin capital R, and therefore the seal is dateable not before the early to mid ninth century. The name and titles read: Βα...νῳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαροκανδιδάτῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ τῶν Βουκελλαρίων. Cf. Zacos and Veglery 2669.
