Anonymus 509 was a kouboukleisios and oikonomos of the Great Church (Hagia Sophia); owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century; his name is lost: Zacos and Veglery 2585A. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with .. - σω - .. - λω in the corners. Rev.: circular inscription reading +[.... ..κου]βουκλ' και οικονομω; in the centre a cruciform monogram, damaged on right, containing the letters Μ, Ε, Τ, Α and Λ. The titles read: ... κουβουκλεισίῳ καὶ οἰκονόμῳ, and the central monogram is to be interpreted as: τῆς Μεγάλης Ἐκκλησίας. For a similar seal, cf. Anonymus 130.
