Anonymus 416 | Prosopography of the Byzantine Empire |
| Sex | M |
| Floruit | VII |
| Variant Names | Menelaos; Menandros |
| Religion | Christian |
| Seal Sources | Speck, P. et al. (eds.), Byzantinische Bleisiegel in Berlin (West) (Bonn, 1986) |
Anonymus 416 was the owner of a seal dateable to the seventh century; the name is uncertain because part of the monogram of the name is lost: Speck, Bleisiegel 30. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει. Rev.: cruciform monogram with the letters α, ε and ν. Speck suggested Μενελάου, comparing the monogram Zacos 324A = PLRE III, p. 1565, 223B; also possible perhaps is Μενάνδρου (cf. PLRE III, p. 1565, 223A).
