Anonymus 408 was a basilikos spatharios; owner of a seal of uncertain date, possibly eighth or ninth century; his name is uncertain, as the only surviving letters show that it ended as ιος: Konstantopoulos, JIAN 9, 523b. The name and title read: ...ιῳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ. Konstantopoulos read the name as Βασιλείῳ, but this is conjectural.
