Anonymus 311 was the vestiarius of Perctarit 1 and one of his most loyal followers; with Unulf 1 he tricked the agents of Grimoald 3 and enabled Perctarit 1 to escape an assassination attempt and flee to Francia; Anonymus 311 was dragged before Grimoald 3 to explain what had happened, but instead of punishment he was praised for his loyalty and enrolled among the vestiarii of Grimoald 3; later he was allowed to depart with Unulf 1 and rejoin Perctarit 1 in the kingdom of the Franks: Paul. Diac., Hist. Lang. V 2-4. The date was perhaps 663.
