Anonymus 268 was the strategos (στρατηγός) of the island (of Lesbos) (he was possibly strategos of Aigaion Pelagos); in 843 he arranged a celebration for bishop Georgios 135 of Lesbos on his return from Constantinople: Acta Davidis, Symeonis et Georgii 253, 31-254; 258, 37-259, 1. If genuine, he is the first attested strategos of Aigaion Pelagos, but the information in this source is very untrustworthy.
