Anonymus 266 was the bishop of Galgala (πρόεδρος τῶν Γαλγαλῶν; ἐπίσκοπος) (presumably Gargara, in the Troad); in 762/763 he was living in the countryside, because of his opposition to iconoclasm; he consecrated David 13 as a monk and Symeon 13 as a priest, in 781/782: Acta Davidis, Symeonis et Georgii 216, 29- 217, 4; 219, 3-5.
