Envoy of pope Stephen III (II) (Stephanos 8), Anonymus 252 was sent in 756 to accompany the imperial envoys Georgios 130 and Ioannes 235 to Francia to see king Pepin 1; on arrival in Marseilles they learnt that Pepin 1 had already invaded the lands of the Lombards; the imperial envoys Georgios 130 and Ioannes 235 tried to prevent the papal envoy Anonymus 252 from continuing his journey to visit Pepin 1, and when they failed Georgios 130 went on ahead; nothing further is recorded about the papal envoy Anonymus 252: Lib.
