Anonymus 233 was a monk living in Patras in the Peloponnesos and frequenting the Church of the Apostle Andrew there; he had a reputation as a prophet; when Basilios 7 (the future emperor Basil I) once entered the Church, he rose up and acclaimed Basilios 7 in terms reserved for emperors; this was reported to a local lady, Danelis 1, who questioned him and he then told her that Basilios 7 was to become a great emperor of the Romans: Theoph. Cont. V 11 (pp. 226-227).
