A Paulician, Anonymus 202 was the father of Karbeas 1; during the persecution of Paulicians in 843 or 844 under the empress Theodora 2 he was crucified; his murder provoked Karbeas 1 to rebel: Theoph. Cont. IV 16 (p. 166), Scyl., p. 92. See Karbeas 1 for the date.
