Anonymi 37 were the brothers of Anonyma 19, who appealed to the emperor Michael II (Michael 10) after Euphemios 1 had taken their sister Anonyma 19 from her convent in Sicily against her wishes and married her; subsequent events led to the revolt of Euphemios 1 and the loss of Sicily to the Arabs: Theoph. Cont. II 27.
