Achillios 1 was topoteretes of the Arithmos; owner of a seal dateable to the first half of the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 1690. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: Αχη - λλιω τοπ - οτ' του α - ριθμ'. The name and title read: Ἀχιλλίῳ τοποτηρητῇ τοῦ Ἀριθμοῦ. He was an official of the Arithmos (the Vigla); cf. Oikonomides, Listes, p. 331 with n. 256.
