Abdallah ibn Sa'd (Abdullah 11) invaded Africa in AH 27 ( Oct. 647/Sept. 648) = 959 Sel. (647/648) and withdrew after the inhabitants promised to pay him 2000 dinars: Elias, Chron., p. 135, lines 12-18 = p. 66. In AH 31 ( Aug. 651/Aug. 652) = 962 Sel. (650/651) he invaded Roman territory: Elias, Chron., p. 137, lines 18-21 = p. 66.
