Severianos 2 was a Stoudite monk and spiritual son of Theodore the Stoudite (Theodoros 15), he was the addressee of a letter from Theodoros 15 written between 821 and 826; he had previously sent two letters to Theodoros 15; he held no firm convictions concerning the veneration of icons and had entered into communion with iconoclasts; Theodoros 15 vouches for his ignorance and urges him not to discuss the subject: Theod. Stud., Ep. 445, pp. 627-629 (addressed Σευηριανῷ υἱῷ πνευματικῷ).
