Krokoraches 1 was a local official at Episparis (in Armenia) (τις ἀνὴρ τῶν ἐκεῖσε ἀρχόντων, Κρικόραχες λεγόμενος), with soldiers under his command; with them he arrested a number of the followers of the "Manichee" (i.e. Paulician) Ioseph 1: Peter of Sicily, 128.
