A pious lady living a life of abstinence, Eudoko was of advanced age when Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite) wrote to her in or after 821; when Theodoros 15 and Nikolaos 26 had been held under close confinement at Bonita during the iconoclast persecution under Leo V (Leo 15) she had given them assistance by bribing their guards and sending them food and drink, so placing herself in great danger; after the relaxation of the persecution under Michael II (Michael 10), Theodoros 15 sent her this letter of thanks; she was living with her only relation, a nephew (Anonymus 583), to whom Theodoros 15 also sent greetings; she is addressed as ὦ καλλιπάρθενε (p. 614, line 34): Theod. Stud., Ep. 436, pp. 613-614 (addressed Εὐδοκῷ παρθενευούσῃ).
