Basilikos protospatharios and droungarios of the Vigla; owner of a golden ring bearing his seal, dateable to the ninth century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 340, no. 1 (with facsimile) = Schlumberger et Blanchet, Collections, p. 181, no. 609. The legend reads: +Κ(ύρι)ε β(οήθει) Ἀετίῳ β(ασιλικῷ) (πρωτο)σπαθ(αρίῳ) (καὶ) δρογγαρ(ίῳ) τ(ῆς) βίγ(λης). Schlumberger identified the owner with Aetios 2.
